Sharing ideas with Pinterest
I always ask clients whether there is something of interest (hence the name pin + interest) that they have seen in a magazine, brochures or even from the web and the results are heaped scrap books containing ripped pages from magazines and little sketches. This is a great starting point for understanding what the client wants and with the power of the internet and a few clicks, you can create your own online scrap book containing images, ideas, thoughts, kitchen designs (which is very popular!) and pin these to your imaginary board.
Specific details as part of the project
In the past I have had clients requesting certain details as part of the design such as specific lead windows or a certain oak beams to get this effect. It great that myself and the client can work on the same page and thus saving time and fees because I know exactly what the client requires.
You can then share your board, repin or even comment on others people boards but its a great tool for sharing design ideas.
Check out my boards and feel free to comment.
